Reena Dewan can most accurately be identified as a committed art administrator and leader who elevated her work to a level of artistry for multidisciplinary and applied art. She has spearheaded many projects in KCC to promote research and development of different disciplines of art that has lead to a volumetric and qualitative impact not only in the art field but to wider society and in particular, young artists and performers.

Reena champions and facilitates inclusion, diversity and gender equality in museums and art spaces. She has been instrumental in launching the first 'Accessibility Program'; in Eastern India, which forms a bridge between people with special abilities and the arts. She also coconvened the first international conference in India on 'Gender Mainstreaming and Cultural Rights'. She is pioneering social changes and creating an inclusive culture in KCC that addresses different abilities and choices, gender and sexual diversity, and marginalization of communities through the appreciation and applications of art.

Winner of the Customer Delight Award at Asia Pacific level and winner of the Demand Generation Award at Global level, her keen interest and passion for the Arts made her change, after 12 year of service, from the corporate arena to the arts. She was nominated for 'Aparajita' award as Woman Achiever by Sanmarg Newspaper and featured among twentyfive most prominent women in West Bengal, India.

Reena Dewan is a recipient of the following prestigious fellowships: Australia Council's International Leadership Program, Art Think South Asia, International Society for Performing Arts and an 'Emerging Scholar' award from Ground Research Networks. She is a Getty Foundation Grantee and has presented papers, using travel grants, at museum conferences globally, which gives her vision an immediate internationalist perspective.
